I recorded the following to make a Notepad edit of any small file in File Manager.
In File Manager with the file you want to edit highlighted record the following:
| 1. | Alt-F, Open file command |
| 2. | R, choose Run |
| 3. | Press Home to edit run parms |
| 4. | Type "notepad " to force notepad to open specified file |
| 5. | Press Enter |
Once in Notepad I also added adjustments for the page setup as we have problems with our HP printers.
| 6. | Alt-F, open file in Notepad |
| 7. | Down five times till on Page setup |
| 8. | Press Enter |
| 9. | Tab and enter appropriate data in dialog and press Enter |
As you suggested, I built separate macros some playing some back fast and others at recorded speed. CTL-P prints, CTL-N opens. (I cheated by using RECEDIT to adjust the speed of playback at recorded speed to make them almost as fast as FAST.)
